Thanks for visiting my digital portfolio.
My editorial experience spans five years and three continents. From Europe I have written about education for the International New York Times; edited The Paris Globalist, an international affairs magazine; and written and edited daily news stories on the media industry for the Editors Weblog. From South America I have written about social issues, travel, and culture for The Argentina Independent, an English-language newspaper based in Buenos Aires. From North America I have written for the websites of War Child Canada, a global NGO, and FASHION, Canada’s leading fashion magazine.
I am passionate about the business side of news, and have over two years of full-time experience working at international media organizations including The New York Times Company and the World Association of Newspapers and News Publishers (WAN-IFRA).
This summer I graduated cum laude from simultaneous master’s degrees in journalism (concentrations: digital and TV) and international development (concentration: global economic policy) at Sciences Po, Paris. I also have a first class MA in French and Spanish from the University of Edinburgh.
If you think we can work together, I’d love to hear from you. You can reach me at emmalk at mac dot com.
